If you’ve been following this blog you’ve seen the two slideshows I put up to illustrate using Traffic Geyser and at the same time, of course, attempting to sell my house.

Remember that I had two key ingredients: A room by room description of the house recorded in mp3 (which is all that Traffic Geyser will accept) and a number of pictures of my house that were taken by a real estate agent.

Traffic Geyser comes with a number of instructional videos and a set of instructions in .pdf , but I found that I had to write down my own “how to’s.    I know there are people who can watch a video once, then sail through a program, but that is not me.

The first step in Traffic Geyser make a folder for the voice and the slides how you are going to use in your presentation.  If you don’t create a new folder, your slide show will go into the default folder called “home”.  That’s OK if you are only going to make one or two projects, but if you’re going to make more, you’ll drive yourself crazy if you don’t think ahead and make up some job-specific folders.

Second, You will have to import media.  In most cases, after clicking on the import media button, you’ll simply hit “browse” , (and find your mp3 file if its your narrative), name it ( I just use the name the file already had, but you can name it whatever you like)  then click “add to list”.  You might think you’re done now, but you’re not.  You must scroll down to the bottom of the page and click the “upload” button.  You’ll see the file progress bar as the file uploads. Now youve imported that one piece of media

You go through the same process to load your pictures if you are making a slide show.  One tip though.  Remember you are uploading to Traffic Geyser, not your computer.  Uploading takes time.  Also, I found that Traffic Geyser works best if you “add to the list” no more than four or five pieces of media at at time, then upload.  I tried uploading ten a once and Traffice Geyser didn’t like that very well.
